Near capacity…
The Garden Centre is now fully using all of the available space. The coffee shop is approaching capacity, the car park is regularly full. It is time to begin looking at relocation again.
John Bosworth
John Bosworth is tragically diagnosed with cancer in August and passes away just before Christmas.
Coffee Shop…
One of Jill’s dreams was to open a coffee shop. Poppies Coffee Shop was opened in March 2007. Tania Bosworth, having given up her nursing career to look after the three boys was instrumental in the set up of this venture. This was also the time that Tania became more involved in running the Gift and Christmas departments within the shop.
Jill Bosworth
In December, Jill Bosworth suddenly passes away aged 66 having inspired a lot of the retail development and changes that have taken place.
Land Purchase
Further land is purchased to the rear of the site allowing the nursery to relocate to a new area and the whole of the original site could be used for the Garden Centre
Deborah Bosworth
Ian Bosworth’s wife, Deborah, begins work for the business, helping to run the office with Jill.
A New House
Following in his grandparents and parents footsteps, Sam and Tania build a new house on the Garden Site . Their son Oliver is born.
Adam Young
Adam Young begins his job as a Saturday lad. He is still here and running the Gardening side of the Garden Centre business.
Development continues
Between 1996 and 2005 work carries on to develop and grow the Garden Centre business.
